GENDER SENSITIZATION CELL

1. About the Gender Sensitization Cell

Aman Bhalla Group of Institutes (ABGI), Pathankot, aims to foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. The Gender Sensitization Cell promotes awareness of gender-related issues, equality, dignity, and inclusion among students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff. Through educational initiatives and awareness activities, the Cell seeks to encourage mutual respect and equal opportunities across the campus.

2. Objectives of the Cell

  • To promote gender equality, dignity, and equal opportunities within the institution.
  • To develop awareness about gender-related social and cultural issues.
  • To encourage respectful behaviour and inclusivity among students and staff.
  • To organize seminars, workshops, discussions, and awareness campaigns.
  • To share information about relevant institutional policies and support mechanisms.
  • To encourage concerns to be reported through appropriate institutional channels.

3. Committee Composition — Session 2026–2027

The Cell comprises the chairperson, member secretary, legal representative, staff member, and student representatives listed below. The committee supports gender-awareness initiatives and contributes to a respectful campus environment.

4. Mechanism

The Gender Sensitization Cell works to create an environment in which members of the college community are treated with fairness and respect. It promotes awareness through educational initiatives, discussions, workshops, and other activities. Concerns are encouraged to be raised through the appropriate institutional channels and are handled by the competent authority or designated committee, as applicable, under relevant institutional policies and regulations.

5. Filing a Complaint

Students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff who experience or wish to report a gender-related concern may use the designated institutional complaint mechanism.

  1. STEP 1 — Open the official complaint webpage

  2. STEP 2 — Complete the complaint form
    Enter the required information accurately.
  3. STEP 3 — Submit the form
    Submit the complaint through the designated channel.
  4. STEP 4 — Review by the appropriate authority

6. Disciplinary Action

Any complaint requiring disciplinary consideration shall be handled by the competent institutional authority in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and due process. Appropriate action, where warranted, shall be taken under the applicable policy and the nature of the matter. Complaints relating to sexual harassment shall be dealt with through the legally designated mechanism, including the Internal Committee where applicable.
